The USS Missouri (BB-63) is a U.S. Navy battleship. It is the third name (hull number BB-63) and was nicknamed "Mighty Mo" or "Big Mo". As flagship of the third American fleet, it is the building where the acts were signed surrender of Japan 2 September 1945 in Tokyo Bay, which put an end to the Second World War. This is an Iowa-class battleship, the fourth and final ship of the line in this class built on the six ordered by the United States of America, and the penultimate across the globe before the HMS Vanguard. Missouri was not the biggest battleship of the war, as its tonnage of 58,000 t in charge was surpassed by the Yamato (72,000 tons at full load). In May 1984, we began to renovate and modernize it by equipping including cruise missiles and returned to duty in May 1986. He used the last time his powerful artillery during the first Gulf War in 1991 and was finally decommissioned in 1992. Missouri is now a museum in Pearl Harbor (Hawaii) ship.
