Historical Review
The streetcar "Lacroze" nº 258 was manufactured by the Compañía de Tranvías de Oporto, Portugal in 1927, based on the model "Brill 32" of the manufacturer J.G. Brill of Philadelphia (USA).
It was in service with Compañía Lacroze de Buenos Aires between 1907 and 1939.
In 1980 the 258 was acquired by La Asociación Amigos del Tranvía de Buenos Aires (AAT). AAT restored the magnificent unit, with minor modifications to the exterior, to finally obtain an exact replica of the Buenos Aires Lacroze. Since November 15, 1980, it has been running in the Caballito neighborhood of Buenos Aires.
In 2014, the "Lacroze" No. 258 was declared a National Historic Monument.
